Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Technology Portfolio Manager to drive visibility, structure, and cadence for the Developer Platform portfolio.

You will translate engineering work into executive narratives, own quarterly planning and intake, and ensure leadership has timely, clear insights to make smart decisions. You will partner with engineering leads, product managers, and senior stakeholders across Nordstrom Technology, building a coherent portfolio view, surfacing dependencies, and maintaining

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in portfolio management, program management, or strategic operations supporting engineering or technology organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a complex, multi-workstream portfolio with big-picture view and attention to detail.
• Experience owning quarterly planning processes, including capacity planning, prioritization, and commitment tracking across multiple teams.
• Exceptional written communication skills, able to translate dense technical programs into VP-ready summaries.
• Strong stakeholder management, navigating competing priorities while maintaining relationships.

Responsibilities

• Own the Developer Platform portfolio planning process end-to-end, including intake, prioritization, capacity planning, and quarterly commitment alignment across engineering teams.
• Translate team-level work into a coherent portfolio view, surfacing dependencies, sequencing tradeoffs, and flagging risks.
• Develop and own portfolio status communications for VP/SVP audiences, including dashboards and ad hoc briefings.
• Manage intake and governance for the portfolio, ensuring proper scoping, resourcing, and alignment with strategic priorities.
• Oversee portfolio tooling (Aha!, Jira, GitHub) and explore AI-assisted acceleration of portfolio work.
