Job summary

Arbella Insurance Group in Quincy, MA is seeking a Senior Developer to design, develop, and support Duck Creek Policy Administration System components for multiple lines of business.

The role requires collaboration with analysts and SMEs to gather requirements, configure Duck Creek modules, integrate with APIs, mentor teammates, and assist in testing and deployments across environments. The position follows a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 from home).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Alternative: 3 years of academic studies toward a Bachelor's in IT/CS followed by 6 years of software development experience.
• Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.

Employer: Arbella Insurance Group Job Site: 1100 Crown Colony Drive, Quincy, MA 02169 Job Title: Senior Developer

Job Duties:

• Design, develop and support Duck Creek Policy Administration System insurance products and lines of business that meet business and technical requirements; Collaborate with Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts to gather and validate insurance product requirements; Work on the Duck Creek OnDemand ecosystem and develop products that are compliant with the Duck Creek Active Delivery model; Work on code movement and deployment across test environments and assist the release management team with production deployments; Integrate Duck Creek Policy application with third party APIs and other data sources; Provide guidance, train and mentor the Duck Creek team where applicable and incorporate industry best practices/standards; Provide inputs to product testing and validation scope and review artifacts; and Provide relevant information and reports to business stakeholders by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.

Hybrid work model (3 days from office + 2 days from home)

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline followed by 5 years of experience as a professional software developer.
• In the alternative, the employer will accept three years of academic studies towards a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline followed by 6 years of experience as a professional software developer.
• Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.

Experience must include the following, which may be gained concurrently:

• 5 years of professional software development experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
• 5 years of experience configuring Duck Creek Policy components including Underwriting/Rules, Pages, Rating, TransACT and Forms.
• 5 years of experience using Duck Creek Platform tools and applications including Server, Author, ManuScripts, Express, User Admin, Trace Monitor, and Util.
• 2 years of experience with Duck Creek OnDemand Policy Platform version 8.x.
• 2 years of experience with Duck Creek Anywhere APIs, AMIs, and Composed Requests.
• 2 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft .NET, XML, XPath, XSLT, SQL, and C#.
• 1 year of experience in providing training on Duck Creek Policy Platform.

Our current reasonable and good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position is approximately $186,160 - $190,000 based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, educational background and certifications, performance and qualifications, market demand for the role and other organizational needs.
