Job summary

Horizon3 is seeking a Senior or Staff Developer Experience Engineer to shape how engineers build, test, release, and operate software. You will define architecture for local development, CI/CD, build systems, and release workflows, and lead cross-team initiatives.

You will create reusable tooling and templates, improve security, observability, and delivery speed, and mentor engineers while raising the engineering bar across Horizon3.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Developer Experience or related fields.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD systems (GitLab CI/CD preferred).
• Experience with container builds and Kubernetes-based delivery workflows.
• Strong Go and Python automation skills.
• Deep knowledge of software supply-chain security and provenance.
• Proven mentoring and cross-team leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to influence technical direction without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and roadmap for local development, CI/CD, and release workflows.
• Lead high-impact engineering initiatives to standardize the path from code to production.
• Create reusable templates, workflows, and runbooks to speed delivery.
• Mentor engineers and raise the engineering bar across teams.
• Collaborate with Platform, Security, QA, and product teams to ensure secure, reliable foundations.
• Participate in design and operational reviews and incident response.
