Job summary

Honeywell's Security and Access Solutions division is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer - Developer Experience (Finance) to join the Cloud Solutions group in a hybrid role based in Pittsford, NY or Atlanta, GA. You will build internal platforms, developer tooling, CI/CD systems, automation frameworks, and engineering workflows to help product teams deliver software faster and more reliably.

The ideal candidate has a strong automation background, at least 6+ years in software engineering, and

Qualifications

BS degree or significant technical experience may be substituted.
6+ years of software engineering experience.
3+ years of demonstrated experience building automated delivery pipelines.
Experience developing or maintaining software in at least one language (TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, Python, Java etc.).
Familiarity with event-driven and microservices architectures.

Responsibilities

Lead initiatives to improve developer productivity, deployment reliability, and engineering efficiency across multiple product teams.
Develop tools to enhance the full development process from design to production.
Measure and improve engineering productivity and satisfaction.
Relentlessly prioritize delivery speed and reliability to drive engineering efficiency across the team.
Design, build, and evolve CI/CD platforms leveraging Jenkins, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.
Design and maintain infrastructure as code to guarantee consistent and efficient continuous delivery across various environments for a SaaS solution.
Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues across both development and production environments.
Leverage data and metrics to support decision making.
Build operational maturity through automation.
