CoreCivic is seeking a Senior Detention Officer to supervise Detention Officers and oversee security operations in an institutional setting. The role emphasizes protecting inmates' rights and maintaining order during shifts.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years in criminal justice (1 year supervisory), a valid driver’s license, and completion of required security training. This is a full-time, on-site position within a drug-free workplace.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years in a criminal justice field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
• Pre-service officer training completed and, where applicable, state security officer license.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age 18 years old.

Aufgaben

• Provide general supervision of Detention Officers and inmates on the shift and ensure adherence to policy.
• Conduct inspections of housing and general areas to uphold security, health, safety and welfare standards.
• Assist in supervising facility security; routinely inspect posts to confirm alertness and proper security at all times.
