Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Detention Officer to maintain order, safety and security for inmates/residents in housing units, meals, recreation and work assignments within a correctional facility.

You must be able to work any post on any shift, with responsibilities across armory, housing, kitchen, medical and visitation areas. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with pre-service training and appropriate licensing where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Complete pre-service correctional officer training; license where required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to complete required training for contract standards.
• Minimum age 18.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order, safety and security of residents.
• Engage in armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical and visitation.

Education
