Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years in a criminal justice field, preferably with one year in a supervisory capacity.
• Completion of basic pre-service officer training; state license where applicable.
• Valid driver's license required and minimum age of 21.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Detention Officers and inmates/residents on shift.
• Inspect housing and general use areas to ensure security, health, safety, sanitation and welfare standards are met.
• Oversee internal and external security, regularly inspect posts to ensure alertness and proper security.
