Job summary

CoreCivic is hiring a Detention Officer to ensure order, safety, and security for residents in a correctional facility. Position involves supervision during meals, recreation, work assignments and all activity phases, with potential weapon use to maintain discipline.

The candidate must complete required training, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and have a valid driver's license. Must be at least 21 years old and able to work any shift across posts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
• Must complete pre-service correctional officer training and, where applicable, be a non-commissioned security officer licensed by the state of employment.
• A valid driver's license and clear driving record is required.
• Demonstrate ability to complete any required training, as established or necessary to meet contract requirements and/or standards.
• Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
