CoreCivic is seeking an Assistant Shift Supervisory to support the supervision of security activities within a correctional/detention facility. The person will supervise officers on the shift, may serve as acting Shift Supervisor, and will direct officers in responsibilities related to inmate/resident supervision and rights protection.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, at least three years in a criminal justice field, and one year of corrections experience with supervisory duties

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.
• One year of corrections experience, including the care and custody of inmates/offenders is required.
• Three years of experience in a criminal justice field is required.
• One year of experience in a supervisory capacity is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Directly supervise assigned security staff on the shift and evaluate the performance of subordinate staff.
• Demonstrate and provide guidance to staff on adherence to safety and security practices and post orders.
• Interpret, enforce and comply with rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and contract requirements.
• Attend meetings to enhance effective communications between management, staff and inmates/residents.
• Assist in streamlining communications and maintaining consistency of operation between shifts.
