Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Detection and Response team. You will design, pilot, and implement logging and alerting systems to detect threats across endpoints, cloud, and networks. You will build tools and automation to accelerate threat hunting and incident response.

You’ll collaborate with cross-team partners to triage incidents, analyze alerts, and ensure production-grade security solutions with strong code quality. Strong Python/Go skills required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS/engineering or equivalent security experience.
• 6+ years of post-Bachelor security experience or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of detection and response concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, pilot, and implement logging and alerting to detect malicious activity across endpoints, infra, networks, and cloud.
• Build tools and automation to improve threat hunting and incident response.
• Investigate events from the alerting pipeline and triage incidents.
• Collaborate with multiple teams during incidents and drive response efforts.
