Job summary

Scale is seeking a Senior Security Engineer focused on Detection and Incident Response. You will build high-precision detections, automate containment, and mature telemetry pipelines across cloud services and enterprise SaaS.

You will design durable engineering improvements while triaging alerts and writing production-grade code. You will lead investigations, analyze root causes, and clearly communicate risk, impact, and remediation to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Detection Engineering or Incident Response or Security Operations with tooling and automation.
• Proficiency in Python or Go; production-grade coding experience.
• Hands-on with SIEM, EDR, and SOAR in cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, test, and deploy detection logic across cloud and enterprise environments with version-controlled code.
• Build and maintain incident response automation, runbooks, and tooling to shorten containment timelines.
• Mature telemetry pipelines with better schema design, enrichment, and quality checks to reduce false positives.
