Job summary

AspenView Technology Partners, Inc. is seeking a Detection Engineering Lead to own detection engineering for a large US consumer lender.

You will manage a nearshore team in Bogotá and Buenos Aires, shaping detection coverage and reporting to client security leadership. As a US-based senior on the team, you will guide two senior detection engineers, prioritize detections, and ensure proper data flow through Elastic, CrowdStrike, Defender, Okta, and AWS.

Qualifications

• Experience writing and tuning detections in production on a SIEM or analytics platform.
• Ability to explain the reasoning behind a rule and data flow from source to alert.
• Strong logging, data pipelines, and ownership mindset for detections.

Responsibilities

• Own the detection inventory end to end with clear ownership.
• Prioritize detection work based on threat intel, hunts, incidents and feedback.
• Build identity-centric detections on Okta and cloud platforms (CrowdStrike, Defender, AWS).
• Troubleshoot the telemetry chain from data to alerts and case creation.
• Run detection as code with version control, peer review, and client-approved changes.
• Produce MITRE ATT&CK coverage reporting for security leadership.
• Lead and review two senior detection engineers in Latin America.
