Job summary

Cox Automotive seeks a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to guide the Detection Engineering team, advancing next-generation cyber defense across Cox's automotive solutions in the U.S. and abroad.

You will lead detection engineering, architect AI-based detection systems, and work with Incident Response and Threat Intelligence to strengthen governance, compliance, and response capabilities across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 6+ years of experience.
• Experience with multi-cloud security across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Expert knowledge of Detection Engineering and security monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead detection engineering strategy and roadmap.
• Architect and deploy agentic AI detection systems.
• Design multi-agent threat hunting and incident response frameworks.
• Develop auto-remediation playbooks and rules.
• Maintain SIEM/Data Lake and log ingestion.
• Collaborate with Incident Response and Threat Intelligence teams.
