Fastly is an edge cloud platform company seeking a Senior Security Engineer on the Detection Engineering team to build detections and AI-powered automations for incident response, and to lead complex security investigations.

You will develop analytics to identify threats across cloud, container, and edge environments, analyze log sources to determine root causes, and lead threat hunts while contributing to on-call rotations.

Formación

• Experience integrating AI tools into security operations workflows.
• Experience developing detections using detections-as-code with CI/CD.
• Proven incident investigation experience with log analysis and forensic artifacts.
• Strong Python coding skills for automations.
• Knowledge of AWS or GCP, Linux, and containers like Kubernetes.
• Threat hunting or threat modeling experience.

Responsabilidades

• Develop detections and analytics to identify threats across cloud, container, corporate, and edge environments
• Lead security investigations by analyzing complex log sources and telemetry to determine root cause
• Build AI agents and automations to accelerate detection development, triage, and incident response workflows
• Research, evaluate, implement, and maintain security tools including EDR, SOAR, and SIEM solutions
• Conduct threat hunts to discover unknown malicious activity and participate in on-call rotations
