Job summary

Global Experience Specialists, Inc. in Las Vegas is seeking a Senior Detailer to bring intricate modular fabrication drawings to life.

You will produce 3D/2D drawings, plan elevations, exploded views, and collaborate with Designers, Account Managers and Project Managers to meet tight timelines. You will mentor junior Detailers, partner with the Detailer Supervisor to improve design systems, and help develop cost-efficient construction options while maintaining GES standards.

Qualifications

• Produce detail / assembly drawings for modular, woodworking and metal fabrication per GES standards.
• Detail custom construction components as needed (box frame units).
• Create 3D/2D drawings for show setup: elevations, plans, exploded views, layouts.
• Create Design Line drawings / Control drawings for estimating & proposals.
• Specify finishing materials on drawings.
• Work / Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Maintain modular CAD drafting standards and SOP practices.
• Work with Project Managers & Carpenters to discover best methods of construction.
• Train new hires and mentor fellow Detailers.
• Own drawing set to ensure on-time completion with PM.
• Provide innovative engineering solutions and advise on construction options.
• Research materials and building methods to reduce cost.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Autodesk tools and Adobe suite.

• Senior Detailers work closely with Production Supervisors, fostering collaboration and coordinating meetings to bring larger, custom, and intricate projects to life seamlessly.
• Senior Detailers juggle multiple drawing requests with ease while serving as a trusted resource for the team. Once established, they also collaborate with the Detailer Supervisor to mentor and train fellow Detailers.
• Senior Detailers will collaborate closely with the Detailer Supervisor to elevate and expand the possibilities of our design systems.
• Senior Detailers offer supportive support and guidance to their team, serving as the go-to resource for knowledge and assistance.

Expertise

• Produce detail / assembly drawings for modular, woodworking and metal fabrication based on GES detail standards. These modular items include the following: GEM, FIT3, AGAM, B-Matrix (AMP), Milos Truss, Tectonics, and other modular items.
• Some assignments will require the ability to detail custom construction components (i.e., box frame construction units)
• Create 3D/2D drawings for show setup, including elevations, plans, exploded views, space management, carpet, and electrical layouts.
• Create Design Line drawings / Control drawings for estimating & proposals.
• Specify all finishing materials on drawings.
• Work / Manage multiple projects, often with very tight deadlines.
• Maintain and Create modular CAD drafting standards and SOP practices.
• Work with Project Managers & Carpenters to discover best methods of construction.
• Train new hires, point person for modular construction & custom construction.
• Ability to self-manage the detailing requirements and engineering solutions for complex fabrication projects.
• Using AutoCAD, create workable models for CNC programs.
• Create program code for CNC cutting machines using programming software (MasterCAM)
• Attend "Put to work' meetings with Project Manager, Estimator, Crew Supervisor and Designer. (As required)
• Partner with the Project Manager by owning the drawing set to ensure drawings are completed in accordance with the project timeline.
• Ability to provide innovative engineering solutions and to advise production and project management personnel on construction options and opportunities.
• Research materials and building methods to reduce cost of construction.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Basic proficiency in Autodesk, 3ds Max Studio for design color renderings.
• Familiarity with Adobe suite a plus.
• Follow GES file naming and file management procedures.
