Veronica Beard seeks a Senior Designer, Tailoring & Structured Wovens, to drive the creative direction across outerwear, jackets, pants and skirts. You will lead from concept to production, delivering technical flats, sketches and tech packs to communicate design intent and development needs.

You will collaborate with Merchandising, Technical Design and Product Development, mentor the design team, and guide seasonal direction with a strong eye for fit, fabric and construction.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience designing woven apparel for contemporary or luxury brands.
• Strong creative vision and design sensibility.
• Excellent hand and digital sketching skills.
• Deep technical knowledge of tailoring and structured wovens, including fit and construction.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Position Overview

Veronica Beard is seeking a Senior Designer, Tailoring & Structured Wovens, who combines a strong creative vision with excellent technical execution. Guided by our mission to create the dream wardrobe for a layered life, this role brings that vision to life across outerwear, jackets, pants, skirts, and other tailored categories.

Reporting to the Senior Design Director, the Senior Designer will lead the design process from initial concept through production approval, partnering closely with other design teams and cross-functional partners

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of tailoring and structured wovens, including outerwear, jackets, pants, and skirts.
• Own the end-to-end design and development process, from initial concept through final production approval.
• Create sketches, technical flats, and tech packs to communicate design intent and support development.
• Partner on trend, silhouette, fabric, and pattern research to inform seasonal direction.
• Lead trim research and selection for the department.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Technical Design, and Product Development to meet time-and-action milestones and ensure the final product reflects the design vision.
• Lead fittings from prototype through production, ensuring fit, construction, and design integrity.
• Mentor and develop the design team.
• Foster a collaborative, creative, and motivating team environment.

The base salary range for this role is between $100,000 and $130,000.The relevant base salary will vary depending onwiderange of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications. The base salary is just onecomponentof our total compensation offerings, which consist of a comprehensive benefits package as well as a short-term incentive program, clothing allowance, and merchandise discounts
