Job summary

Creative Office Resources in Connecticut is seeking a Senior Designer who will lead space planning, furniture applications, visualizations, and installation drawings for contract furniture, collaborating closely with Sales to drive business.

The role requires mastery of AutoCAD/CET, strong presentation skills, and ability to work independently and with a team, with opportunities to mentor the Design group and participate in showroom tours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional design experience.
• Degree in Interior Design or related field from a CIDA-accredited school.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, CET, and MS Office; quick to learn new software.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent English reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Training participation and engagement: self-guided, virtual, and collaborative learning
• Design and specify Herman Miller, Knoll, and other furniture for various product applications.
• Determine project requirements in collaboration with COR team members and industry partners
• Attend client meetings independently and act as a consultant for industry partners
• Provide design services that support contract furniture, including programming and schematic design
• Design and implementation of a furniture block plan
• Ensure space planning for furniture is code compliant
• Development drawings and renderings using CET and AutoCAD
• Material application for projects including workstations and offices
• Field measurements and product inventories
• Accurate drawings, visualizations, and product specifications
• Lead client meetings and showroom tours
• Prioritize workload independently
• Other duties as required
