Job summary

MG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, seeks a Designer (Level 2) to join our Seattle, WA office. You will contribute to Retail, Food & Beverage and Luxury projects, translating client goals into concept designs and documentation.

The role focuses on programming, space planning, FF&E, finishes, and coordination with project teams to produce construction documents and design deliverables, with opportunities to lead smaller projects or collaborate with larger teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, design, or related field.
6+ years of experience in a professional architectural or design firm.
Licensed professional certification preferred.
Demonstrated experience in design production and 3D visualization.
Understanding of the relationship between design and constructability.
Proficient with Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, VRay and Enscape.

Responsibilities

Assist with generation of original design concepts and completion of design deliverables including preliminary designs, plans and elevations, 3D renderings and exhibits.
Collaborate with architectural and design staff on experiential concept designs for projects of varying scales.
Integrate conceptual design work into contract documents and assist with construction document production.
Conduct design research from benchmarking sources for ideation and documentation.
Survey existing conditions in spaces identified for tenant improvements.
Coordinate with project teams and external consultants on design deliverables.
