Job summary

Walmart in Saint Paul, MN seeks a senior design professional to guide layout direction across iOS, Android, React local apps, and web packages for in‑membership merchandise, POS, and touchless kiosks.

You will screen prototypes and design guides in Figma, XD, and related tools, and plan consumer research including usability testing and remote studies. Collaborate with developers to drive design implementation and align strategy across the organization.

Qualifications

Minimum 12 months of design experience; or 2 years of design experience; or four years of design experience.
Proficiency in Figma, InVision, Adobe XD, Adobe After Effects, Lottie, and Zeplin.
Experience designing interactions for mobile, web, and desktop applications.
Experience with voice UI interactions and verbal exchange design.

Responsibilities

Guide the design and set layout direction for iOS, Android, React local apps, and web packages for in‑membership merchandise, point of sale registers, and touchless kiosks.
Screen and approve prototypes, specification documentation, and design guides created using Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, Zeplin, Lottie, Principle, Framer, and Miro.
Define and plan consumer research needs for product and design discovery, persona research, idea testing, usability testing, and remote testing.
Analyze and discover consumer and associate behavior adjustments using Tableau, Medallia, Opinion Labs, Omniture, and Google Analytics.
Develop new layout approaches based on agile and lean product development methodologies, layout sprints, and workshop practices.
Use JIRA, Confluence, Trello, and Airtable for collaboration.
Communicate effective layout procedures through design strategies (Jobs To Be Finished framework, consumer‑targeted design, intention‑pushed layout, outcomes maps, journey maps, and service design blueprints).
Create high‑fidelity prototypes and animated movies to align strategy across the organization.
Lead multi‑channel and omni‑trade user strategy and innovation to support product roadmaps.
