Job summary

Gap Inc in San Francisco seeks a senior design leader to set the strategic direction for a product line and partner with cross functional teams to ensure style, fit and quality align with customer expectations.

You will mentor designers, translate trends into concepts, and present to leadership while collaborating with Merchandising, Production, GIS, Visual Merchandising and Marketing to deliver seamless store and site experiences.

Qualifications

Ability to set strategic direction for a product area and team.
Elevated sense of style, aesthetic, and color with customer and brand perspective.
Strong understanding of silhouette, fit, fabrication, construction, and trims.
Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Excel.

Responsibilities

Set strategic direction for product area and team.
Provide creative direction and coaching to develop a motivated, high performing team.
Research global markets to identify seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, and categories.
Develop concepts and sketches for product line and present to leadership and cross functional partners.
Develop cross functional relationships with Merchandising, Production, GIS, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing to ensure seamless execution.
Partner with Production and Tech Design to create tech packs and communicate fit and design vision.
Collaborate and lead others in design initiatives and implementation.
