Job summary

Amiee Lynn Inc. seeks a creative team player in New York for a hybrid design role. You will own the creation process from inception to production, working three days in the NY office and two days remotely.

You will translate trends into concepts, develop color and trim details, and create CADs and presentation boards. Portfolio is required with submission.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in soft accessories
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to create concepts and present CAD/boards clearly
• Proficiency in Illustrator & Photoshop for design deliverables

Responsibilities

• Support trend research for seasonal decks and projects, keeping imagery files updated with references
• Translate trends into concepts responding to business needs (price points, geography) for the product category
• Help generate presentations, ideas and concept boards for sales teams with regular updates
• Maintain color, sketches, trims, and material library by brand
• Produce sketches, color ups, and art ideas for each style
• Work independently to develop new areas and create aesthetic strategies
• Attend fit meetings with the design team and ensure final details are accurate
• Provide mockups for projects needing higher communication levels
• Manage color and trim approvals and coordinate with team and suppliers on dates
• Create CADs for design projects and update design details
• Attend pre-production/fit meetings with designer and technical teams
• Develop SKU-level designs from conception to sample approval; present to Head Designer

Job description

The ideal candidate is a creative team player will be able to think strategically across different media platforms and own the creation process from inception to production. You must be able to work both independently and collaboratively. This role is based out of our NY office working in the office 3 days a week and 2 days remotely. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support trend research for seasonal decks and special projects keeping imagery files updated with trackable references
• Translate trends into concepts that respond to business needs (e.g., price points, geographic considerations) for the relevant product category
• Help generate presentations, ideas and concept boards for sales teams with regular search updates, and information on emerging brands and influencers.
• Support and maintain color, sketches details trim and material library by brand .
• Produce sketches, color ups, art ideas for each style required.
• Work independently to develop new areas or opportunities and create aesthetic strategies to support concepts.
• Work with technical Design team attending fit meetings with attention to final details.
• Provide mockups for projects that need a higher level of communication.
• Manage color and trim approvals, communicate with team and suppliers on critical dates.
• Create CADs for any design projects.
• Update all final design details, attend pre-production/fit meetings with designer and technical teams
• Develop SKU-level designs from conception through revisions to sample approval. Present to Head Designer for review and approval
• Create presentation boards

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-3 yrs experience in soft accessories
• Experience with Walmart a plus
• Applicant must have strong technical knowledge of production techniques and experience with suppliers.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills.
• Clear presentation skills with ability to build concepts, with CADS concept boards, mock ups.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and strict deadlines.
• Proficient in relevant computer programs, essential use of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
