Job summary

Penguin Random House LLC in New York invites a Senior Designer to join PRH Christian Marketing. Open to remote work, you will create digital content for web, social, and email, plus print collateral across seven imprints and corporate design projects.

You have 5+ years of marketing design experience, excellent typography, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Monday.com, and Ziflow. Collaborate with Marketing, deliver on tight deadlines, and stay current with publishing trends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a marketing designer, preferably in publishing or advertising.
• A passion for design and typography—as demonstrated by your portfolio
• Ability to work on a wide variety of high-quality nonfiction, faith-based projects
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, comfortable with Monday.com, and the interest and ability to learn new systems and applications including AI tools.
• Strong typography and typesetting skills
• Experience preparing files for digital and offset printing
• Ability to produce excellent design work in a fast-paced, detail-focused, and deadline-driven environment
• Strong time and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and provide timely follow-up to marketing teams and other stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across virtual meetings, email, and direct messaging
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams, contribute creative ideas, and cultivate productive working relationships
• Strong creative problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in designing graphics for social media and other marketing applications
• Photography or AI-generated lifestyle photography experience is a plus
• Knowledge of animation and video editing, including Adobe After Effects and Premiere, and/or experience in product photography a plus
• A curious and innovative mindset with an interest in exploring new visual ideas and creative solutions a plus

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design materials across 7 imprints and corporate design needs (Amazon A+, ads, social images, website assets, emails, motion graphics, print collateral).
• Work closely with the Marketing team to refine designs, incorporate feedback, and route work.
• Manage projects through Monday.com and Ziflow; communicate on project threads as needed, traffick creative, plus prepare and release files to stakeholders.
• Archive work and reinforce department systems and naming structures.
• Remain current on art, design, and publishing trends, including approved AI tools that can expedite project turnaround time.
• Participate in Creative Services Team meetings and other departmental meetings.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Creative Director.
