CSW Industrials, Inc. seeks a design engineer to create detailed railing and architectural drawings, using AutoCAD and standard layouts.

You will interpret sketches, specs, and measurements to develop layouts, parts lists, and cost information for projects in the architectural/structural steel field in Florida. You’ll collaborate with PM and Fabrication Manager to select materials and ensure design quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years design experience in architectural or structural steel projects.
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong AutoCAD and MS Office skills (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Effective verbal and listening communication and strong organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Design detailed electronic working plans, charts and scale drawings for railing and architectural projects from sketches and measurements.
• Produce drawings and specifications using CAD to create parts lists and cost information.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and Fabrication Manager to select cost-effective materials and construction techniques.
• Create custom railing designs from elevation sketches and integrate drawings into tool palettes.
• Revise CAD designs to meet modified specifications during construction.
• Prepare documentation packages and drawing sets for project delivery.
• Ensure design quality and team deliverables through review and coordination with staff.
