Role Description

The Senior Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Wisconsin Dells, WI. This position is responsible for leading architectural design concepts from initial client consultation through final documentation, including programming, space planning, schematic design, and design development. Day-to-day tasks include preparing drawings and presentations, coordinating with project managers and consultants, reviewing plans for code compliance, and ensuring design integrity throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Designer will participate in client meetings, actively contribute to design reviews, mentor junior team members, and help maintain ADCI’s standards for quality, efficiency, and creativity. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners is essential to deliver projects that align with client goals, budgets, and schedules.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in architectural design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar BIM/CAD software).
• Strong skills in space planning, schematic design, and design development, with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Ability to interpret building codes, regulations, and technical standards, and apply them to project documents.
• Experience coordinating with engineers, contractors, and other design professionals throughout all project phases.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and client-facing skills, including the ability to present and explain design concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring or guiding junior designers and contributing to a positive team culture.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture or a related field; professional licensure or progress toward licensure is preferred.
• Several years of relevant architectural design experience, ideally in commercial or mixed-use projects.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
