Job summary

Creative Office Resources is seeking a Senior Designer to plan and specify contract furniture for complex projects. You will produce CET/CAP drawings, lead space planning, and work closely with MillerKnoll and clients to realize design intent.

The role involves precise documentation, coordination with consultants, and supporting sales with presentations. Strong collaboration and detail-oriented execution are essential in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience drawing and specifying systems furniture (CET or CAP) required.
• 5+ years’ experience in A&D and commercial interiors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD required.
• CET, CAP Designer, CAP Worksheet, and SketchUp experience preferred.
• BS or BA degree in Interior Design from a accredited program preferred.

Summary

Do you enjoy planning and specifying contract furniture to solve client needs? Do you excel at producing technical drawings and figuring out the parts needed to make it happen? Our designers work closely with our sales team and clients to plan and specify contract furniture using CET and AutoCAD software. We work closely with our partners at MillerKnoll to bring cutting-edge workplace strategy and design to commercial, institutional, healthcare and hospitality settings. Responsibilities for this role include programming and space planning, site verification, product specifications, drawings, product inventory, coordination with consultants, fabric and finish palette selection, and assisting sales with presentations for clients. This role focuses on complex projects including reconfigurations, multi-phase projects, and working directly with clients to solve ongoing furniture needs.

Required Education, Skills, And Experience

• 5+ years’ experience drawing and specifying systems furniture in CET or CAP required.


• 5+ years’ experience in the A&D and commercial interiors industry


• Proficiency in AutoCAD required.


• CET, CAP Designer, CAP Worksheet, and SketchUp experience preferred.


• BS or BA degree in Interior Design from a FIDER/CIDA accredited institution preferred.


• High level of attention to detail and technical proficiency


• Knowledge of building, accessibility, and life safety codes


• Ability to coordinate, plan, organize, and manage multiple responsibilities and high-volume workload effectively with speed and accuracy


• Self-motivated, innovative, and team-focused


• Strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills


• Confident leading client presentations
