Job summary

Job description

Overview

MD/DC/NVA dealer seeks experienced Designer. Minimum 3 years dealer experience required. Position is hybrid working 2-3 days/week from any of their locations (MD/DC or Richmond).

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients and team members to assess the scope of work and specific project requirements
• Develop complete furniture solutions, which include furniture plans, accurate specifications, and renderings as needed for systems furniture, seating, casegoods, etc
• Review project solutions with clients using effective communication and presentation tools
• Complete audit specifications for team members
• Create electrical (core), permit and installation drawings
• Attend customer sites for field verifications to ensure smooth installation
• Select and present finish options, as needed
• Coordinate multiple tasks and projects effectively to meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Associates’ Degree in Interior Design required, Bachelor’s preferred
• Proficiency in CET or AutoCAD / CAP 20/20
• Knowledge of ADA codes
• Excellent time-management skills/ability to prioritize and estimate design project time
• Knowledge of government contracts helpful
