Position Summary: The Senior Design & Web Development Lead will head the communications design function, leading creative strategy, execution, and team collaboration. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced designer with strong front-end web development skills and the ability to drive digital innovation across multiple channels, including web, email, social, and video. This leader will own the creative vision and ensure that all output meets strategic goals, usability standards, and brand integrity.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Lead and mentor the creative/design team, ensuring high-quality output across all media.
  • Set and evolve the creative direction for web, print, and digital campaigns.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to align creative strategies with business goals.
  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines across platforms.

Design & Production:

  • Oversee the design and production of communications materials, web pages, emails, and digital content.
  • Conceptualize and execute UI/UX design for web properties, optimizing for SEO and performance.
  • Develop HTML/CSS/JS templates and modular designs compatible with CMS platforms.
  • Design and edit videos for promotional and informational content.

Project & Resource Management:

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with effective prioritization and delegation.
  • Use project management tools to track tasks, approvals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Ensure that all design outputs are delivered on time, on brand, and within budget.

Technology & Innovation:

  • Evaluate and implement new tools or practices for improving design workflows and user experience.
  • Integrate marketing strategies across digital platforms, including email, CRM, social, and web.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in digital design, development, and branding.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, Premiere, After Effects).
  • Strong HTML/CSS and front-end development experience (WordPress or similar CMS).
  • Experience with responsive design, UX/UI principles, and SEO best practices.
  • Project management experience, preferably with tools like Asana, Trello, or Monday.
  • Excellent communication skills for client-facing or executive presentations
  • High level of creativity, strategic thinking, and attention to detail
  • Leadership experience in managing and mentoring design teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, measure, and promote evidence-based practices which support innovation, protection, and provable quality outcomes
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced environment and handling pressure situations with professionalism and tact
  • Excellent organization skills - able ability to prioritize work, manage multiple projects, follow-through, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work independently and collaboratively with team members and others of varying backgrounds and skill levels
  • Ability and experience working with various technology solutions
  • Proven experience of effective resource and cost management
  • Must exhibit a positive attitude and be an example of leadership to others in the area of problem-solving, teamwork, interpersonal relationships, and commitment to FBMC's mission, vision, and values

Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Graphic Design, Web Development, Marketing, or related field.
  • Five (5) plus years of senior-level design experience, with proven digital development work.
  • Fluent with Adobe Suite.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, web based and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications.
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Degree may be substituted by relevance of work experience.
