Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Design Technician to design and draft large-scale construction drawings using AutoCAD, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with project teams to meet budgets and deadlines.

You will review technical documents, prepare reports, and collaborate with clients to ensure project requirements are satisfied, while adhering to standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or GED, 9 years with an Associate's Degree, or 8 years with a Bachelor's Degree.
• Proven experience in field technician roles with a track record of successful project completion.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, team members and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and safety protocol standards.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite; Photoshop and Google Earth.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft large-scale construction drawings using AutoCAD.
• Mentor and manage junior Design Technicians.
• Work with a project manager to ensure designs meet federal, state, and local standards, on time and within budget.
• Review and interpret technical documents, prepare accurate reports, and ensure project requirements are met.
• Collaborate with clients and professionals to satisfy project specifications.
