Job summary

The Cigna Group's Verity Solutions is seeking a founding Senior Manager to lead design systems engineering for Verity Canvas, our code-canonical UI system for healthcare software. You will align Figma libraries with production code in React, creating accessible components that product teams can trust.

As we migrate from Angular to React, you will define token pipelines, CI gates, and governance to ensure a scalable UI system across multiple teams while partnering with designers and engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building front-end systems, design systems, or component libraries with React and TypeScript.
• Experience designing typed component APIs and shipping a design system as a published package used by other teams.
• Hands-on experience with Figma Dev Mode, variables, and Code Connect, or similar design-to-code workflows.
• Experience building design token pipelines using tools like Style Dictionary or Tokens Studio.

Responsibilities

• Own the @verity/ui component library as a versioned package built on accessible headless primitives.
• Create and maintain the design tokens pipeline from token sources to styled output.
• Define and optimize the code-to-figma workflow to minimize design drift and improve collaboration.
