Job summary

FastTek Global is seeking a Design Quality Engineer to guide design execution for Class-A products and ensure alignment between vehicle and accessory components. The role emphasizes collaboration across teams, rigorous design reviews, and meticulous documentation to enable PPAP sign-off.

You will oversee timelines, review molded parts pre-grain, and provide visual documentation of issues, working with suppliers and engineers to address root causes in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree.
• 5 years minimum of automotive experience.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration to achieve results.
• High standards for quality, attention to detail and relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program timelines and material development database.
• Participate in design reviews and communicate effectively.
• Review molded parts pre-grain for mold quality and readiness.
• Provide visual documentation of mold issues and coordinate with suppliers/engineers.
• Review and validate Pre-Grain Approval Sheet to start graining of tool.
• Assess AAR parts for visual targets and dimensional stability to support PPAP sign-off.
• Maintain records of grain approvals and AAR submissions.
• Support on-site at supplier to root cause issues with SQE and supplier quality teams.
• Collaborate with CMF Design and Mastering for clear plaque-to-part scaling.
