Job summary

Gensler is seeking a Senior Design Manager with a proven track record across all project phases. You’ll ensure client satisfaction, quality control and financial performance while deploying resources and liaising between team and client.

Join a creative, collaborative team driving sustainable, on-time, on-budget design across diverse practice areas. You will lead with strong interpersonal skills, promote sustainability targets, and collaborate with executives to advance Best Practice integration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field.
• 15+ years of related project management experience on design projects.
• Professional license or certification preferred.
• Experience negotiating project scope, fees and managing financial performance.
• Experience with full project lifecycle, through post-occupancy.
• Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures.
• Technical understanding of architectural/interior/furniture design.
• Experience with MS Project is a plus.
• Understand principles for leading and achieving net zero projects.
• Experience in sustainable design projects with LEED/Living Building/WELL/Net Zero.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of projects and ensure client satisfaction, quality control and financial performance.
• Deploy resources and act as liaison between team and client.
• Provide leadership to achieve project objectives and a positive team environment.
• Develop strategies for best-practice integration, sustainability and cross-studio collaboration.
• Oversee project scheduling, budgets, staffing and set-up with clients and vendors.
• Monitor budgets and profitability targets and ensure adherence to policies.
