Job summary

MSBA’s Design Team seeks a Senior Project Manager to supervise and provide technical oversight of design components for Core Program projects in the Capital Pipeline. The role supports the Design Director in evaluating impacts of building and energy code changes on MSBA processes and guidelines.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field with 10 years in building design or PM, plus 2 years in a supervisory PM role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 years of experience in building design or PM.
• 2 years in a supervisory project management capacity.
• Thorough knowledge of design processes from concept to construction documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication for internal/external stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook).
• Knowledge of Massachusetts procurement and bidding laws is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the Design Team to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Support panels and design reviews, coordinating with external consultants and internal staff.
• Develop and apply MSBA design standards, guidelines, and sustainability policies.
• Prepare documentation and present findings to district representatives and stakeholders.
• Lead site visits and due diligence for Statements of Interest assessments.
• Oversee technical reviews and ensure accuracy and quality in project stages.
