American Electric Power Co. is seeking a Dist Design Project Coord - Sr to coordinate resource requirements for distribution line and telecom components in the work plan.

You will ensure design packages meet specifications and are delivered on time within budget, interfacing with contractors and multiple internal teams. The role requires coordinating pre-design meetings, tracking storm resources, and efficient billing and training for contract resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET accredited preferred), Business Administration, Construction Management, or equivalent education with 3 years’ related experience.
• Associate’s degree in electrical/electronic technology or related technical degree with 5 years’ experience in design/construction of distribution facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design for distribution line and telecom components in work plans.
• Ensure work order packages meet specifications and are delivered on time within budget.
• Interface with contracting firms, PMO, engineering, right of way, and other departments.
• Coordinate pre-design meetings, onboarding, customer concerns, storm resource tracking, and billing.
• Review contractor work packages for accuracy in accounting, materials, and forms.
• Assist with storm assessment contract resource training and billing.
