Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited institution.
• Degree preference in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering; or in engineering technology with ABET accreditation.
• 3 years' experience designing power system electrical distribution facilities or 5 years in distribution operations, construction and/or maintenance.
• Professional Engineer Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for distribution project design support.
• Supervise design engineers and technicians on projects.
• Provide support to district engineering in designing capital budgets or other projects.
• Provide project management oversight and coordination of the work of outside contractors.
• Provide training and ensure usage in standardization of engineering practices; liaison between field engineers and units on standards and designs.
• Assist with timely restoration of outages during major events, including Incident Command Structure role, and support regulatory reporting.
