Job summary

KW Landscape Architects is seeking a Design Executive to join our Houston or Austin office to provide strategic design leadership from early site analysis through detailed design and construction. This role shapes project vision and design execution with innovative, contextually responsive landscape solutions aligned with client goals.

You will lead design teams, run charrettes, coordinate with engineers, architects, and contractors, mentor junior designers, and elevate design excellence while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or related design.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills to convey design intent and engage with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to travel for site visits and industry events.

Responsibilities

• Concept and Schematic Design: conduct site analysis and develop design concepts.
• Design Development: develop detailed solutions, drawings, and renderings.
• Collaboration & Coordination: lead meetings and coordinate with consultants.
• Maintaining Design Intent: review drawings and ensure design vision is upheld.
• Self-Management: manage workload, deadlines, and progress.
• Leadership & Mentorship: guide junior designers and participate in design discussions.
• Presentation & Communication: prepare client presentations and visual materials.
