Job summary

Odin Labs, Inc. is hiring a Senior Design Engineer to design and build the interfaces users rely on at job sites and the shared system behind them.

This hands-on senior role blends product design with frontend engineering, requiring production-ready decisions and a strong portfolio demonstrating design judgment and UX craft. You will move between customer-facing projects and the shared design system, establishing Odin’s design language in Figma and in production, with prototypes and responsive

Qualifications

• Proficient with React, TypeScript, and CSS, or equivalent modern web stack expertise.
• Experience designing and building for the web and production-grade interfaces.
• Ability to establish visual direction, organize complex information, and explain decisions.

Responsibilities

• Turn customer evidence and product problems into information architecture, interaction models, and interface decisions with prototypes.
• Design polished, responsive interfaces across desktop, tablet, mobile, and keyboard inputs.
• Establish and evolve Odin’s design language across Figma and code through reusable tokens and accessible components.
• Build coded prototypes with realistic mocked data to test navigation and product assumptions.
• Write production frontend code for complete screens and interaction flows, including various states.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers on interface contracts and connect front end to data and business rules.
• Improve existing experiences as the design system grows and identify durable shared capabilities.
• Own design-heavy projects, keeping decisions and risks visible and accountable.
• Ensure accessibility, performance, visual consistency, and responsive behavior in interfaces.
• Use AI to accelerate research, prototyping, and design-system implementation with oversight.
