Job summary

The County Materials Family of Companies, including County Prestress & Precast in Westmont, IL, seeks a Senior Design Engineer to lead structural design, analysis, and project management for precast and prestressed systems. You will mentor engineers, drive innovations, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities include advanced analysis, shop drawings, value engineering, and collaboration with project managers, architects, and production teams to deliver safe, cost-effective

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 10+ years in structural engineering focused on precast/prestressed design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license; ability to obtain multi-state licensure/SE.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, RISA-3D, Concise or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of PCI standards and precast fabrication methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced structural analysis and design for precast and prestressed components.
• Lead design reviews, prepare and seal calculations and shop drawings.
• Ensure compliance with ACI, PCI, IBC and local codes.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering process improvements.
• Collaborate with project teams and support sales with design expertise.
• Lead R&D efforts on new precast/prestressed products.
