Job summary

County Materials Family of Companies seeks an Engineering Manager for County Prestress in Westmont, IL. You will lead the engineering team, align projects with company standards, and collaborate with Design, Project Management, Sales, Estimating, and others to drive successful planning and execution.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in precast prestressed concrete design, 3+ years of management, and a PE license in IL/WI/IN (S.E. a plus).

Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering; MS preferred.
Minimum 8+ years in precast prestressed concrete design (highly preferred 10 years).
Minimum 3 years of related management experience in prestress / precast industry.
Licensed Professional Civil Engineer in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana or ability to obtain (S.E. a plus).
Must communicate clearly, both orally and in writing; knowledge of IBC and reference standards (ACI, ASCE, PCI).

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the engineering team; ensure projects are completed efficiently and in line with standards.
Plan and organize departmental resources to meet schedules and business priorities.
Mentor junior engineers and promote collaboration across project teams.
Review and approve design documents for accuracy and compliance.
Monitor budgets and project progress; communicate risks to stakeholders.
