Job summary

Acuity Inc. is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead end‑to‑end rapid product development for lighting solutions.

You will manage projects from concept to production, oversee BOMs and ECOs, and drive cost and schedule targets across indoor, industrial, and commercial portfolios. Responsibilities include DFM/DFA reviews, regulatory compliance (UL, DLC), and cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Operations, and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering with 3–5 years of mechanical/electrical design experience.
• Experience with high-volume commercial or industrial products.
• Familiarity with UL safety requirements and testing.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly design, adapt, and deploy lighting solutions for customer specs.
• Lead modifications and variants using existing platforms while balancing cost and schedule.
• Manage engineering changes, BOMs, ECOs, and PLM accuracy.
• Support manufacturing readiness through DFM/DFA reviews and tooling decisions.
• Communicate technical trade-offs and risks to cross-functional teams.
