Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) Southwest Division in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Senior Design Engineer to lead the design, development, integration, and verification of advanced mechanical systems and weapon subsystems from concept through prototype demonstration.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in mechanical design, weapons development, design verification, and technical leadership, and holds active security clearances if required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of related experience in mechanical design/ weapons development.
• Experience leading design, verification, and integration activities.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, development, integration, and verification of advanced mechanical systems and weapon subsystems.
• Perform design evaluations and tolerance analyses.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and leadership from concept through prototype.
• Mentor junior engineers and support development milestones.
