Job summary

Regal Rexnord in Bowling Green, OH is seeking a Design Engineer III to lead the design and development of industrial electrical products. You will manage concept through launch, working with product management, manufacturing, sourcing and quality to translate requirements into robust, manufacturable designs.

You will drive design reviews, validation, and DFMEA, creating test plans and prototypes, and ensuring compliance with UL/CSA/IEC standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product design/engineering roles with hardware products.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and design verification methods.
• Experience leading engineering projects and schedules.
• Ability to work independently and drive technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of new industrial electrical products from concept to launch.
• Translate VOC and application requirements into robust designs and specs.
• Create detailed concepts and drawings for proposals and manufacturing.
• Lead design reviews, DFMEA, validation activities and prototypes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (UL/CSA/IEC) and drive pre-production builds.
• Troubleshoot design/quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
