Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and deliver high-quality electrical distribution designs in Charlotte, NC. You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to translate project requirements into accurate drawings and calculations.

You will lead design efforts on smaller projects, ensure compliance with industry codes, and support field activities. A ABET-accredited degree and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 3+ years of electrical distribution experience.
• QA/QC experience is highly desired.
• Familiar with BOUD, Maximo and CAD software.
• Willing to work in a production environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Apply your technical expertise to develop high-quality designs that meet project specifications and client requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to understand project goals and design details.
• Communicate project risks or challenges related to scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Partner with Designers and Drafters to produce complete and accurate design packages.
• Contribute to engineering designs through calculations, drawings, and technical analysis.
• Lead design efforts on smaller projects and support complex engineering initiatives.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable industry codes, standards, and regulations.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, clients, and vendors.
• Help coordinate design tasks and support the development of design team members.
• Maintain quality by following company and client procedures and performing thorough self-reviews.
• Support field activities and other project needs as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in electrical distribution
• QA/QC experience is highly desired
• Knowledge of BOUD, Maximo, and Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
• Strong work ethic with a desire to work in a production environment
