Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Design Engineer I to design overhead and underground electrical service systems for new customers on real utility projects. You will interact with clients, scope work, estimate costs, and prepare design packages that meet customer needs.

You will often meet with customers and on-site construction crews to review scope and ensure proper project execution in a hybrid work environment, with up to 20% local fielding responsibilities.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 0-1 years of relevant work experience in consulting or related field.
• Knowledge of CAD or GIS design is a plus.
• Hybrid work capable, including up to 20% local fielding responsibilities to support project needs.
• Strong work ethic in a production environment.

Description

Design the grid and your future! As a Design Engineer I at ENTRUST Solutions Group, you'll work on real electric utility projects, learn from experienced mentors, and grow your career in a supportive team environment. You'll help design overhead and underground power distribution projects that support grid improvements and utility upgrades.

What You'll Do:

• The objective of this role is to scope, design and develop electrical service systems for new customers.
• You will be responsible for customer interaction, scoping and cost estimation.
• You will be responsible for providing a design package that meets customer needs.
• You will often meet with the customer and construction crews on site to review the scope of our design and discuss project execution.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• 0-1 years of relevant work experience in consulting or a related field
• Knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or GIS design is a plus
• Strong work ethic with a desire to work in a production environment
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity, including up to 20% local fielding responsibilities to support project and client needs
