Job summary

LHH is hiring a Senior Design Engineer in Indianapolis, IN to lead product development from concept through manufacturing. You will design with CAD, create detailed drawings, and collaborate with engineering, technicians, and production to realize your vision on the shop floor. The role requires 5+ years of CAD design, SolidWorks 3D, BOM experience, and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred. Authorization to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred, mechanical design favored.
• Minimum 5+ years of product design experience using CAD.
• At least 2+ years of SolidWorks 3D design experience.
• Experience with BOM, work instructions, and reading blueprints.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept to manufacturing handoff.
• Design new products and modify existing ones using CAD.
• Create detailed drawings matching customer specs and materials.
• Collaborate with engineering, technicians and production staff.
• Verify designs and perform root cause analysis on quality issues.
• Coordinate with sales for client requests and custom projects.
