Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Sr. Design Engineer - Automation Machine Systems to analyze, research, and design components or systems for automation projects.

The role involves creating innovative designs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic disciplines to improve cost, performance, and manufacturing efficiency. The candidate will develop conceptual and detailed designs, evaluate feasibility, and prepare documentation for internal and external customers, while leading design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Six or more years of related experience typically required.

Responsibilities

• Develops conceptual and detailed designs by analyzing specifications and performance requirements.
• Performs complex design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of mechanical or electromechanical components and systems.
• Documents and presents results to customers and stakeholders; prepares reports and change proposals.
• Develops test plans and conducts analyses to establish performance standards for new or modified equipment.
• Investigates design factors (manufacturability, materials, cost) to optimize solutions.
• Prepares detailed drawings and schematics using CAD tools and adherence to standards.
