We are currently looking for a Senior Design Engineer, responsible for working with the engineering team to manage product design, development, cost, and manufacturability. This position supports overall business growth initiatives, operational efficiency, and maintains high-quality standards. The Senior Design Engineer will collaborate with Manufacturing and Sales departments to design and implement new product development and improvements to existing products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process of valves, fittings, and related products by employing best practices in product design. Review and approve product designs created by others for manufacturability or completeness.
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, or other data to evaluate feasibility, cost, or maintenance requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues with new or existing products involving designs, materials, or processes. Determine root causes of failures and recommend design or process changes.
- Manage changes in project scope, scheduling, and costs using appropriate techniques.
- Ensure product quality while maintaining focus on cost and manufacturability.
- Manage and report on testing of new and existing products to meet operational and customer specifications.
- Perform flow and stress analysis calculations for various applications.
- Update and create new 3D models and drawings from paper and AutoCAD, using SolidWorks.
- Provide technical reports to customers when required.
- Reverse engineer mechanical parts.
- Interpret and analyze statistical data and financial reports, resolve technical difficulties, collaborate with internal experts, and manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.
- Supervise the design engineering team.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal resources, customers, and vendors.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience as a mechanical/design engineer, with at least 5 years in related industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
- Flexible, able to multitask, and work effectively in a dynamic environment while driving clarity and solutions.
- Experience with fluid power or fluid control systems.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to move around the plant and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work in a loud environment and wear PPE as required.
