The Judge Group is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for a manufacturing company in the Kennett Square, PA area. The role focuses on leading development of valves, fittings, and related mechanical products from concept through production.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in mechanical engineering and 7+ years of design experience in manufacturing or regulated industries; proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD, and knowledge of FEA/CFD. Excellent leadership and communication needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 7+ years of product design engineering experience in manufacturing or regulated industries.
• Experience with fluid control, fluid power, or related systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of valves, fittings, and related mechanical products from concept through production.
• Review designs for functionality, manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate customer specifications and technical requirements to determine project feasibility.
• Investigate product issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage engineering projects, including scope, timelines, testing, and change control.
• Conduct flow, stress, and performance evaluations to support product applications.
• Develop and maintain 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software.
• Prepare technical reports and provide engineering support to customers and internal teams.
• Mentor and oversee engineering staff while collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional partners.
