Job summary

Clayco is seeking an experienced Senior Design Coordinator to lead multidisciplinary design coordination for complex industrial projects. This role serves as the central coordination point between clients, project management teams, engineering disciplines, and external partners to ensure fully integrated project delivery.

You will guide project teams through conceptual design, detailed design, construction support, and project closeout, interpreting PFDs and P&IDs to optimize facility layouts

Qualifications

• 10+ years in industrial or multidisciplinary design coordination.
• Strong knowledge of process design and equipment layouts.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall project coordination across multiple engineering and design disciplines.
• Serve as the primary liaison between clients, project management teams, discipline leads, and consultants.
• Guide teams through conceptual design, detailed design, construction support, and closeout.
• Interpret PFDs and P&IDs to develop optimized facility layouts.
• Coordinate design integration across process, civil, structural, architectural, and MEPFP.
• Lead design reviews and quality control efforts.
• Drive schedule coordination and communicate critical design decisions.
• Collaborate with leadership to manage scope, budget, schedule, and risk.
• Mentor designers and staff; support pursuits, presentations, and BD activities.
