Job summary

Insight Global seeks an experienced Applicant Design Coordinator (ADC) to support electric distribution design activities within a utility's distribution engineering organization. This senior role requires deep knowledge of electric distribution systems, design review processes, and industry standards.

You will review, coordinate, and QA distribution designs for compliance and quality. Collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and planning groups, you will drive project delivery,

Qualifications

• 20+ years of utility design experience.
• Senior Designer III or equivalent senior utility design position.
• Extensive knowledge of electric distribution systems (transformers, 12kV distribution, service connections).
• Experience performing design reviews and QA/QC.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and quality-check electric distribution designs for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate applicant-driven electric service projects from design through approval.
• Collaborate with distribution engineering teams to support system improvements and customer-driven projects.
• Review overhead and underground designs involving transformers and primary/secondary systems.
• Identify design deficiencies and provide corrective recommendations.
• Interface with internal stakeholders, construction teams, and third-party engineering firms.
• Ensure designs align with safety, reliability, and operational objectives.
