Job summary

Byrne & Jones Construction seeks a Senior Project Manager to own the full lifecycle of design-build projects in the Midwest. You will manage the project P&L, run buyouts, drive constructability improvements, and serve as the primary contact for owners, architects, engineers, and subs.

You will lead two to four concurrent projects ranging from $500k to $5M, coordinating civil, structural, MEP, and geotechnical work while safeguarding schedule, cost, and quality.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years of progressive construction project management with ownership of budgets and schedules on multi-million-dollar projects.
• Experience leading two to four concurrent design-build projects ($500k–$5M).
• Ability to read, interpret, and add value to civil, structural, and architectural drawings.
• Working knowledge across civil, structural, MEP, and geotechnical disciplines; coordination capability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering; OSHA 30 required or obtainable within 90 days.
• Plus: sports facility, park construction, self-perform site work; familiarity with HCSS and ECMS.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of design-build projects from preconstruction handoff through closeout.
• Manage project P&L, budget, schedule, and buyout strategy; report variances.
• Coordinate field execution with the superintendent on crews, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Lead client, architect, engineer and subcontractor communications; run OAC meetings.
• Identify risks, scope gaps, and schedule exposure; implement mitigation plans.
• Drive punch list completion, secure final payment and retainage release, capture lessons learned.
